Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Estram and municipal police officers continue their inspections to prevent those who prefer to travel by tram in public transportation from using illegal tickets.

In the inspections carried out on 22 tram lines every day by the inspection teams of 8 people, the tickets of approximately 5000 people are checked daily. Penalties are applied both to those who pass without buying a ticket and to those who use personalized cards belonging to others. According to the 5326:32 clause of the Misdemeanor Law No. 1, those who travel without printing a ticket and those who use other people's cards are fined 2021 Turkish Liras, according to the determined amount of 427, in the penalties determined for the crime of 'Behavior Against the Order'. Eskarts, whose free or discounted card is determined to belong to someone else, are seized by the municipal police.

Estram officials said that all 8 tram lines were inspected during working hours, and the controls and hours were determined in line with daily planning. Indicating that a total of 2021 criminal proceedings were recorded in September, October and November 1954, the authorities stated that over 1 million tickets were checked in annual inspections.
