EGO General Directorate will perform switchgear and line renewal work in ANKARAY on 11-12 December. For this reason, ANKARAY will not provide service next weekend. EGO buses numbered 300 will serve between AŞTİ and Dikimevi.
By the EGO General Directorate, Department of Transportation Planning and Rail System, on 11-12 December 2021, which coincides with the weekend, switchgear and line renewal work will be carried out in the Dikimevi switch area.
Cracks were detected in the scissors located in Dikimevi region, which have not been changed since the opening of the ANKARAY Plant until today (25 years), during the visual maintenance carried out by the road maintenance teams. As a result of the examination made by the relevant units, it was decided to urgently change the switch hub in the relevant region so that there would be no situations that would endanger the operation and passenger safety, such as rail breaks, derailment of the train.
Routine maintenance and controls are carried out by road maintenance teams at ANKARAY Operations every night after the expeditions end (01.00) and until the next morning (06.00) the operation opens. However, since it is known that the work for the change of the scissor hub, which was detected after the said controls, would take a long time, it was decided to close ANKARAY to passenger management and carry out the necessary change work. Therefore, the ANKARAY line will be closed for operation during the switchover and line renewal work to be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 and Sunday, December 12, 2021.
Buses with line number 300 will serve between AŞTİ-DIKİMEVI on the ANKARAY route so that citizens do not suffer. After the completion of the works, ANKARAY Operation is planned to start its regular flights on 13 December 2021.
