Republic of Turkey Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ) announced the airline plane, passenger and cargo statistics for November 2021.

Accordingly, the number of planes landing and taking off at our environmentally and passenger-friendly airports reached 60.978 in domestic lines and 39.017 in international lines in November. A total of 127.512 aircraft traffic took place in November, including the overpasses.

During the coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic, the passenger traffic, which decreased to a large extent throughout the world and in our country, approached its previous level in November 2021 compared to the same period of 2019.

In this month, domestic passenger traffic was 6.280.560 and international passenger traffic was 5.015.616 at airports across Turkey. Thus, a total of 11.314.809 passengers were served, including direct transit passengers, in November. In November 2019, there was a total of 7.940.756 passenger traffic, including 6.544.396 on the domestic line and 14.517.491 on the international line, including direct transit passengers. When the passenger traffic served in November 2021 is compared to November 2019, it is seen that 79% of the domestic passenger traffic, 77% of the international passenger traffic and 78% of the total passenger traffic are realized.

Airport freight (cargo, mail and baggage) traffic; In November, it was 60.100 tons in domestic lines, 225.270 tons in international lines, and a total of 285.370 tons.

3.837.820 PASSENGERS SERVED AT ISTANBUL AIRPORT IN NOVEMBER

27.391 aircraft landed and took off at Istanbul Airport in November. There were 7.446 domestic flights and 19.945 international flights.

A total of 999.874 passengers were served at the airport in November, with 2.837.946 on domestic lines and 3.837.820 on international lines.

At Istanbul Atatürk Airport, where general aviation activities and cargo transportation continue, there was 3.197 aircraft traffic in November. Thus, a total of 30.588 aircraft traffic took place at these two airports.

A total of 72.813 aircraft, of which 178.834 in domestic flights and 251.647 in international lines, were operated at Istanbul Airport in a period of eleven months; A total of 9.635.405 passenger traffic was realized, 23.626.518 on domestic lines and 33.261.923 on international lines. This number was 37.780 aircraft traffic at Istanbul Atatürk Airport. In the same period, 289.427 aircraft traffic took place at the two airports.

As of the end of November, the amount of cargo carried at Istanbul Airport was 39.213 tons on the domestic line, 652.304 tons on the international line, and 691.517 tons in total. The portion of the cargo, which corresponds to 31,3% of the amount of cargo carried, was carried out with 12.635 flights for cargo purposes only. As of the end of November, the amount of cargo carried at Istanbul Atatürk Airport was 7.820 tons on the domestic line, 774.798 tons on the international line, and 782.618 tons in total.
