While the Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TTSO) October council meeting was held today, council members asked President Murat Zorluoğlu about the issues they were curious about about the city.
Asked about the tram issue, which has been talked about for a while in Trabzon, he said, “All of us, personally, want the tram in the city, which is thought to be coy, so that people can reach a place comfortably. However, these are the tasks that we will talk about with the transportation Master Plan. When we receive the first report at the end of this year, we will see where and how our passenger numbers are at peak times, with charts and maps. Then we will talk about how much the tram will cost and how we will cover this cost. The revenues of the Metropolitan Municipality are formed by taxes. These taxes need to be used in the best way possible. We haven't forgotten that issue. From the beginning of 2022, we will discuss it in a way that will enter the agenda of this city, your agenda, and the agenda of NGOs.”
