Increasing production numbers for Yaris, its best-selling car in Europe, Toyota took an important step for the brand to reach 2025 million sales in Europe in 1.5.

Toyota also started the production of the “2021 Car of the Year” Yaris at its Kolin factory in Czechia. Toyota's facility in Czechia became the second Yaris production center together with Yaris's French factory, which attracted great attention.

Production of the second model at the plant, which passed entirely to Toyota Europe in January 2021, represents an important milestone for the plant. Toyota invested more than 180 million Euros for the transformation realized in this factory to produce A and B segment vehicles built on the TNGA B-platform. Thus, the capacity of the factory has been expanded and it is planned to increase Yaris production with three shifts, as well as the production of the new Aygo in 2022.

Thanks to the investments made by Toyota here, hybrid vehicles can also be produced. Considering that 80 percent of Yaris' European sales are hybrids, it is aimed that the factory in Czechia will make a significant contribution to the numbers. The hybrid power unit used for vehicles produced in France and the Czech Republic is produced in Poland.
