Katmerciler, one of the leading companies in the defense industry, received an export award

Katmerciler was awarded as the second company that realized the most exports in the Defense and Aviation Sector in 2020 among the members of Aegean Exporters' Associations.

Katmerciler, the leader of the Turkish on-board equipment industry and one of the leading companies in the defense industry, added a new one to its awards. Katmerciler was awarded as the second company with the highest export in the Defense and Aviation Sector in 2020 at the "Stars of Export" award ceremony, which is traditionally organized among the members of the Aegean Exporters' Association and where the companies that realize the most exports in the region are awarded. The awards were given to their owners at the ceremony held on the evening of November 24, 2021.

In his statement on the subject, Furkan Katmerci, Deputy Chairman of Katmerciler Executive Board, stated that they will continue their export-oriented activities in both equipment and defense, and said, “We achieved an important success by exporting 2020 million liras in 274. We will continue to increase our export performance.” said.

Pointing out that in 2010, when they went public, they announced their goal of obtaining at least 50 percent of their revenue from exports, Katmerci continued as follows: “We are progressing on the path we aim for. In the ten-year period between 2010-2020, the average share of exports in our total revenues was 54 percent. In 2020, this rate increased to 78 percent. In 2020, we obtained 353 million liras of our 274 million lira income from exports. As a company that exports to 65 countries of the world, we are trying to penetrate the existing foreign markets more deeply, while our search for new markets continues.”

Emphasizing that a strong R&D Center, qualified human resources, innovative, pioneering and creative corporate culture are the most important forces behind export success, Katmerci said,

“We design and develop all of the vehicles we produce in our own R&D Center. Today, the availability of Katmerciler product equipment and defense vehicles in 65 countries on four continents is a source of pride for our company and our country. We will continue to do our part in line with our state's vision for 2023 and 2051 and to be an active player in the national export move.” made statements.
