Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced that due to the increasing cases due to the Nu variant, travel to some countries will not be allowed as of tonight.

Health Minister Koca shared on his social networking site Twitter account, “Measure: Due to the increasing cases caused by the Nu variant; Traveling from Botswana, the Republic of South Africa, Mozambique, Namibia and Zimbabwe to our country through all our land, air, sea and rail border crossings will not be allowed from tonight.”

WHAT IS NU VARIANT?

Scientists commented on the 32-mutated Nu variant (B.1.1.529) variant, which may escape the body's defenses and cause more waves of disease.

The variant was first spotted on November 11 in the South African country of Botswana. The Nu variant also appeared in Hong Kong city. Experts stated that B.1.1.529, which is still limited in number, can lead to serious risks.
