In the written statement made by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, as a result of the long-term studies carried out with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Halkalıto the Trans-European Transport Networks from the Kapikule border”Halkalı-The 67-kilometer-long “Ispartakule-ÇerkezköyIt was stated that the agreement that will provide 150 million Euros of financing support for the construction of the ” section has been approved.
In the statement made, it was stated that the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) will also provide 300 million Euros of financing for the project. It is foreseen that the final approval of this financing will be obtained from the bank's supreme board at the end of November, thus providing a total of 450 million Euros of credit required for the project.
The project, which will be implemented with the support of internationally prestigious creditors, will be an indicator of the trust in Turkey's strong infrastructure and economy with this feature, the statement said, “In line with the strategic goals of our Ministry, with the modernization of the entire railway transportation infrastructure of our country, our railway network with signaling, electrification, telecommunication is fully safe and environmentally friendly. We aim to make it happen”.
HALKALI-KAPIKULE RAILWAY LINE WILL CONNECT ISTANBUL TO EUROPE
