Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, together with the AK Party Kayseri Provincial President Şaban Çopuroğlu, supervised the works on the multi-storey intersection and 2 U underpasses that continue at the intersection of General Hulusi Akar Boulevard and Aşık Veysel Boulevard. Büyükkılıç said, “We are approaching the end of our crossroads work”.
The multi-storey intersection and 2 U underpass works on Hulusi Akar Boulevard and Aşık Veysel Boulevard, one of the important main arteries of the city, continue at full speed. While the works designed by the Metropolitan Municipality to ensure an uninterrupted traffic flow in the critical region where transportation is provided to the neighborhoods with high density population are continuing, the Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, together with the AK Party Kayseri Provincial President Şaban Çopuroğlu and Deputy Secretary General Hamdi Elcuman, examined the work on site.
“A GREAT PROJECT”
President Büyükkılıç, who received comprehensive information about the latest situation from Ali Hasdal, Head of the Department of Science Affairs, and the authorities of the contractor company, said in his statement, “We are approaching the end regarding our intersection work. In a big project here, when we say the underpass and overpass related to the tram that will come from our Talas as well as its size going to the university, towards the end of November, the U crossings are complete, and towards the end of December, hopefully, we will reach the conclusion in our intersection work, with the completion of our other crossings.
Emphasizing that the construction of an alternative connection road from Eşref Bitlis Boulevard to Talas and an underpass is rapidly going on, Büyükkılıç continued his words as follows:
“Furthermore, after an additional 1,5 months of work on the intersection of Eşref Bitlis Boulevard, which will pass under and turn towards our university, that place will also be completed. First of all, we are aware that this great project seems to be going on for a very long time, both with its displacement works and other dimensions, and we are aware that we are causing some trouble to our citizens, but it is appreciated that a service is not done easily and there will be no mercy without effort. I hope we will all forget our troubles since this work, which provides our comfort and eases the transportation of our city, is concluded, and I hope that we will share nice words such as 'I am glad that this project has been implemented, this work has been completed and the transportation of our city is relieved'.
President Büyükkılıç thanked those who contributed and said, “We would like to thank our contractor company, our relevant units, our KASKİ that carried out the displacement work, our Kayserigaz, our electricity company, and those who contributed to its dimensions with Telekom. Look, we count a lot of institutions, each of them has their own unique work, time demands and solidarity. May Almighty Allah grant our city healthy, peaceful, accident-free and trouble-free transportation services.”
“WE HAVE A HUMMING WORK”
Expressing that the traffic will be relieved with the completion of this project, AK Party Provincial Chairman Çopuroğlu said, “There is a feverish work here, it seems that the situation that caused the traffic jam will be eliminated with this work. We have received information from the contractor company that the works done in batches will be put into service. I guess we were happy with the knowledge that the traffic here will be much more relaxed like New Year's Eve. As a result, the days when we will enter a period of fluent traffic must be very close," he said.
THIS PROJECT WILL RELAX TRANSPORTATION
When Aşık Veysel Boulevard and Hulusi Akar Boulevard multi-storey intersection, which plays an important role in the transportation of the city's highly populated districts, Erciyes University and Talas district and will cost 30 million 548 thousand TL, it will relieve the traffic to a great extent.
