Aksu-Aral Railway Line was completed with the laying of the last track at a construction site in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
Under the responsibility of the First Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Army, the Aksu-Aral railway runs from the southern end of the western side of Satema Station in the Southern Xinjiang region, past the town of Avat, to the city of Aral.
The speed limit on the railway line, which has a total length of 114,6 kilometers, was designed as 120 kilometers per hour. There are 4 stations along the line: Satema, Avat, Tamen and Aral.
On the Aksu-Aral railway line, the construction of which started on April 29, 2020, rail laying began on September 26. The line is planned to be put into service in 2022.
Avat town is known as China's high-quality cotton production base. The Aksu-Aral railway line will be used as the main railway channel for the transport of local agricultural products and will play an important role in regional economic development.
