Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, Ankara – Polatlı – Sivrihisar Road project with the D-200 East-West corridor, which connects Ankara to the west and the Aegean Region to Central Anatolia, Eastern Anatolia and the Black Sea, to improve quality and comfortable service. He said they were doing the work. Emphasizing that they ensure the uninterrupted flow of transit traffic, Karaismailoğlu noted that with the improvements and new productions, a total of 131 million TL will be saved annually.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu attended the opening ceremony of Ankara-Polatlı City Crossing and Kartaltepe Köprülü Junction; “We should not forget the difficulties that our Republic, for which we are preparing to celebrate its 2023th anniversary in 100, was won. One of the strongest foundations of our national independence and national struggle was laid here. On this occasion, I commemorate Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his comrades-in-arms, our heroic soldiers and all our martyrs with respect, gratitude and mercy, while there is one day left until November 10.”

Noting that they have completed the construction works of Polatlı City Crossing and Kartaltepe Köprülü Junction, which will ease the traffic flow in the region, Karaismailoğlu said that Köprülü Junction will contribute to the safe and comfortable entrance and exit of the citizens living in Polatlı to the district center.

WE ARE WORKING TO CONNECT TURKEY TO THE WORLD, NOT TO THE WORLD

Karaismailoğlu continued his speech as follows:

“We continue to serve our country and nation day and night, regardless of snow or winter. Since 2002, we have accomplished great things under the leadership of our President, and we will continue to do so. We have worked with determination and devotion to make our country one of the 10 largest economies in the world for a great and powerful Turkey. Nothing has slowed us down so far. It won't slow down after that. Because, in order to protect our national independence, we are implementing national economy moves one after the other for the New Turkey that will lead the world of the future. As the ministry that built the transportation and communication infrastructure of our country, we are working to connect the world to Turkey, not Turkey to the world. Before 2003, we increased our existing 6 kilometers of divided road network to over 100 kilometers. We crossed impassable mountains with tunnels and valleys with bridges. We increased our total tunnel length from 28 kilometers to 402 kilometers. We continue our works that will shed light on the future of our country, carry our country to the future, many projects that will carry our country to the future, and work that will return to our nation as work, food and prosperity.”

WE IMPROVED THE EAST-WEST CORRIDOR TO PROVIDE QUALITY AND COMFORTABLE SERVICE

Stating that the Polatlı City Crossing and Kartaltepe Köprülü Junction are one of the important projects that have been implemented, Karaismailoğlu said, “The connection of Ankara with İzmir and the Aegean Region is provided via the D-200 State Highway, which also includes the Polatlı crossing. The activities of Başkent Organized Industrial Zone, Anadolu Organized Industrial Zone, Ankara 2nd and 3rd Organized Industrial Zones, which have grown rapidly in recent years, are increasing the density of the regional traffic day by day. The annual average daily traffic value of the sections where the route is the busiest is approaching 50 thousand and this number is increasing day by day. For this reason, we have carried out improvement works for the D-200 East-West corridor, which connects Ankara to the west and the Aegean Region to Central Anatolia, Eastern Anatolia and the Black Sea, to provide quality and comfortable service.”

WE PROVIDED QUALITY AND COMFORTABLE SERVICE FOR THE D-200 EAST-WEST CORRIDOR

Providing information about the works carried out within the scope of the project, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu noted that they have renewed the 52-kilometer section of the Ankara Ring Highway, Eskişehir Road Junction to the Polatlı entrance, and the 6,5-kilometer Polatlı City Pass, with a total of 3 lanes, 3 rounds and 6 arrivals. Underlining that the 57,5-kilometer section between the Polatlı exit and Sivrihisar Junction has been renovated as a bituminous hot mix coating, for a total of 2 kilometers in 2 departures, 4 arrivals, 116 lanes, Karaismailoğlu said, “In addition, within the scope of the works; We built an additional bridge to Alagöz Junction in the first section of 52 kilometers. In the 6,5-kilometer Polatlı City Crossing, we established a one-sided 5,3-kilometer flood prevention drainage channel in the form of a box culvert and a 4-kilometer long 2×1 lane side road. We have completed the 44-meter-long Kartaltepe Köprülü Interchange. We demolished and rebuilt the Sakarya, DDY-60 and DDY-1 right bridges, each 2 meters long. In the second section of 57,5 kilometers, we built 24 kilometers of climbing lanes,” he said.

With the project; Noting that the D-200 East-West corridor provides quality and comfortable service, Karaismailoğlu explained that they have improved the access points to the main road with the side road arrangements and ensured the uninterrupted flow of transit traffic. Karaismailoğlu, who stated that they eased the transit in the city of Polatlı, said, “We have eliminated the delays in the transit traffic passing through the region. With Kartaltepe Köprülü Junction, we have provided easy access to the Kartaltepe Mehmetçik Monument and the Panoramic Museum.”

THIS MONEY SAVED WILL NOW STAY IN OUR STATE'S Vault, IN OUR PEOPLE'S POCKETS

Karaismailoğlu said, “As the AK Party governments, our 'People First' approach lies at the heart of our conversation with our nation for all these years.

“An inseparable part of man is, of course, nature, the environment and a 'livable world'. With the improvements and new productions on Ankara - Polatlı - Sivrihisar Road, we will save 45,7 million TL from time and 85,3 million TL from fuel, totaling 131 million TL annually. We will also reduce carbon emissions from traffic by 34 tons. This money saved will now remain in the vault of our state, in the pockets of our people. Our investments will continue to be a 'breath' to nature as well as to our nation. We will act with green and environmental awareness in our future plans, projects and inventions.”

Reminding that they determined the Green Reconciliation Action Plan, Karaismailoğlu explained that they aimed at Sustainable Smart Transportation as a requirement of the plan. Within the scope of this target; Emphasizing that they will develop sustainable and smart transportation, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu said that they will fulfill green maritime and green port practices. Underlining that they will further develop railway transportation and reduce fuel consumption and emissions, Karaismailoğlu said, “We will expand the use of micro-mobility vehicles. In parallel with global developments; We will reduce travel times in transportation. We will use the existing road capacities effectively and efficiently. We will contribute to the country's economy by providing energy efficiency," he said.

LET THE WRITERS OF THE LETTER BECOME THEIR OWN BUSINESS, THOUGH THEY FOLLOW SUCH WRONG JOBS

“The sun is not covered with mud. We know very well that every investment we make and every project we carry out finds its place,” said Minister of Transport, Karaismailoğlu, and continued his words as follows:

“On the one hand, we, who see service to the public as a service to the right, and on the other hand, those who drag Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir into the whirlpool of failure with unqualified cadres. With the support and will of our people, we produce projects that will carry Turkey into the future and achieve its goals, and on the other hand, those who threaten those who undersign these successful projects and investors. On the one hand, we, who strive to save the Bosphorus from all kinds of disasters, on the other hand, do not know how to write letters to foreign powers, disregarding the safety of the lives of millions in and around the Bosphorus. Turkey is a completely independent country, everyone should write it in a corner of their mind. Those who wrote this letter should take care of their own business before dealing with such wrong things. Neither in Ankara nor in Istanbul for 2,5 years, and in Izmir for 30 years, you cannot come across a single project that our citizens say they have done, fortunately. However, while we are working hard for our country, we do not value daily polemics. We don't have time for this, nor do we intend to. We warn the thieves of labor, those who are greedy for power and cooperate with all kinds of dirty focus; Of course, our people see very well those who bring the water and those who break the jug. We closely follow those who do not serve the cities they are entrusted with, who cause suffering to their people and who want to move them behind the times.”

TOURISM, TRADE AND PRODUCTION ACTIVITIES OF THE CITY WILL RISE TO HIGHER LEVELS

Karaismailoğlu stated that just as rivers add life to the places they pass, every new road built, like rivers, adds life to the employment, production, trade, culture and art of the places they pass through, and concluded his words as follows:

“When all of our ongoing projects, as well as the ones we have completed, come to life; Ankara Polatlı, which carries the unique memories and heroism of the War of Independence and the Sakarya Pitched Battle, will increase the number of visitors with the developing transportation network. Tourism, trade and production activities of the city will rise to even higher levels. We will continue to work for Polatlı, for Ankara, for Turkey, for the nation, without stopping, without getting tired. Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we will continue to implement our investments one by one with firm steps.”
