There Will Be No Road Without Traffic Signs in Ankara

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues its works that make the roads of Başkent more comfortable and more reliable. The teams of the Signalization and Infrastructure Branch Directorate of the Department of Science and Technology are renewing the traffic information and sign boards in order to increase the safety of life and property in the neighborhoods that have completed their economic life, especially on the road routes whose asphalt work has been completed. The teams will install 32 thousand standard traffic signs and 45 thousand cat-eyes (CTP) in total.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues its traffic information and sign board renewal works in the center and surrounding districts in order to make the capital city traffic safer and more comfortable.

The teams of the Department of Science Affairs, Signaling and Infrastructure Branch Directorate started to renew 32 thousand standard traffic sign boards and 45 thousand cat eyes (CTP) on the neighborhood (village) connection roads, which have completed their economic life.

The Metropolitan Municipality, which has increased its precautions by prioritizing the safety of life and property on the connection roads in the center and surrounding districts, aims to make the neighborhood (village) roads safe and comfortable by renewing the worn traffic information and sign boards.

The teams of the Signalization and Infrastructure Department, which started to place 32 thousand standard traffic sign boards on the district neighborhood connection roads, whose asphalt has been laid or whose expansion works have been completed, are also installing the GRP roadside posts (cat's eye) that increase the visibility and act as reflectors.

Traffic information and sign boards, which ensure the light to be reflected back correctly, are noticed by the vehicle headlights, especially on roads with low night vision and there is no lighting, while warning the driver and reducing the accident rates to a minimum.

When the works in the adjacent areas are completed, the Metropolitan Municipality, which will bring 45 thousand GRP cat eyes together with the Başkent roads in an area of ​​​​about a thousand kilometers, will have made the hazard warning and traffic regulation signs, which have completed their economic life, replaced with new ones and made them conform to the standards.
