The results of the education support provided by IMM to university students have been announced. This year, 51.890 university students were entitled to receive educational support. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) provides financial support to university students in need within the scope of the 'Young University Education Support', which has been continuing since 2019. This year, applications received between October 5th and 22nd have been finalized. According to the announced results, 51.890 university students were entitled to receive education support.
The first installment of the education support, which is 3.200 TL in total, will be deposited into the accounts as 1200 TL in the first week of December. Other installments will be paid in two periods, 2022 TL each in 1.000.
Within the scope of IMM's 'Young University Education Support', 2019 in the 2020-29.423 academic year; In the 2020-2021 academic year, education support was provided to 33.763 students. This year, financial education support will be provided to a total of 115.076 students, including the students who qualify.
THE PRINCIPLE OF TRANSPARENCY WAS ADOPTED IN THE EVALUATION
The students in need were determined with great care this year as well. Students and their families, who are residing in Istanbul or studying for an associate or undergraduate degree, were evaluated according to their needs. Within the framework of the provisions of the IMM Regulation on Social Affairs and Aid Principles, university students who were determined to be in need were entitled to receive support.
