Metin Akbaş, General Manager of the Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD), organized a series of visits to examine the railway works in Adana and Mersin. Visiting Adana Train Station, which is under restoration, and Mersin Yenice Logistics Center, one of the most important logistics centers in Turkey, Akbaş said, "Our priority is the safety of life and property of our citizens and personnel."

TCDD continues to work rapidly to ensure that our citizens can travel fast, comfortably, modernly and safely, and to make our country the logistics base of its region. TCDD General Manager Metin Akbaş accelerates the railway works and examines the works in the regions on site. General Manager Akbaş, who made inspections at Adana Train Station, where restoration works are continuing, said, “Our priority is the safety of life and property of our citizens and personnel. After receiving information from the staff about the ongoing works, Akbaş moved to Mersin Yenice Logistics Center, which is the lifeblood of trade and economy. General Manager Akbaş continued his studies with AYGM General Manager Yalçın Eyigün. In the examinations where the New Station Building Project was also discussed, it was stated that studies were carried out in Mersin Yenice Logistics Center to reach the target of 8 million tons per year in freight transportation.
