KİPTAŞ, a subsidiary of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), laid the foundation of the environmentally friendly “Kiptaş Pendik Arkatlı Houses”. Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony held at the construction site established on Fabrika Street in Çamçeşme Mahallesi, İBB President Ekrem İmamoğlustressed that, despite the economic crisis in the country, initiating such an investment is a very valuable step. Saying, “In an environment where we unfortunately went back to 20 years ago on the basis of income, on a foreign currency basis, it is a very valuable step, a breakthrough, a determination to lay the foundation here with courage and to contribute to the urban transformation in Istanbul by creating resources,” İmamoğlu said. Emphasizing that urban transformation is one of the basic needs of Istanbul despite all the economic difficulties, İmamoğlu underlined that KIPTAS is a leading institution in this regard.
