IMM President Ekrem İmamoğluspoke at the groundbreaking ceremony of “Kiptaş Pendik Arkatlı Houses”, which will be built by KİPTAŞ, its subsidiary, to contribute to environmental friendly and urban transformation. Emphasizing that as the Mayor of the Nation Alliance, they do not qualify their projects as “CHP” or “GOOD Party”, İmamoğlu said, “Projects belong to the state. It belongs to the public. It belongs to the nation. That's why the concepts put forward as "I don't know what the projects of the party" are going towards creating a party state. It disturbs the people of this city and this country. With the people's money, there can be no party project. You go, you build your own district presidency building, you build the provincial presidency building; its also a party project. Our country needs to get rid of this mentality immediately. I hope we will be saved,” he said.

KİPTAŞ, a subsidiary of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), laid the foundation of the environmentally friendly “Kiptaş Pendik Arkatlı Houses”. Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony held at the construction site established on Fabrika Street in Çamçeşme Mahallesi, İBB President Ekrem İmamoğlustressed that, despite the economic crisis in the country, initiating such an investment is a very valuable step. Saying, “In an environment where we unfortunately went back to 20 years ago on the basis of income, on a foreign currency basis, it is a very valuable step, a breakthrough, a determination to lay the foundation here with courage and to contribute to the urban transformation in Istanbul by creating resources,” İmamoğlu said. I said: 'I hope we don't get into the situation of talking and making a budget again very soon. Because it is changing so rapidly that we all need to be very careful in an economic process that creates an inflation value exceeding 40 percent or 50 percent in real terms, in our country where a crisis is breaking out out of nowhere," he said.

“COURT” RESPONSE TO THE MAYOR OF PENDIK

Emphasizing that urban transformation is one of the basic needs of Istanbul despite all the economic difficulties, İmamoğlu underlined that KIPTAS is a leading institution in this regard. Noting that the project, whose foundation was laid, is aimed at obtaining resources that contribute to urban transformation, İmamoğlu replied to the words of Pendik Mayor Ahmet Cin that they will go to court regarding the issue:

“I watched with amazement the effort of our Pendik Mayor friend to discredit this project unfairly and – unfortunately, I hope not – deliberately. I find it very strange that our citizens from Pendik, our citizens from Istanbul, are trying to prevent us, who are trying to obtain resources here, in this way. Our esteemed Mayor friend declared that he was not informed or informed about the work done here and that he would start a legal fight on this issue. First of all, let me say this: There is no place in the law for KİPTAŞ to receive any document or approval from the district municipality with the license obtained by the İBB. So there is no such need. But 'I don't know about it. I do not know this process. I have no knowledge. That's why I'm going to court 'it's another dimension.'

“OBJECTIVES; TO BE A FASTER TO EKREM İMAMOĞLU”

Noting that the Pendik Municipality police had recorded the building permit in the determination report taken last August 4, İmamoğlu said, “There is how to build the building here, there is everything. But here we go, 'Let's go out in Parliament, Ekrem İmamoğluHow can we be a hindrance to another job done by . Let's try 'how can we prevent it'. I would like to say a few more things about the IMM Assembly. The IMM Assembly is Turkey's second largest assembly after the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. Therefore; very reputable, very valuable. Everyone should be aware of how honorable and proud it is to be in that seat.” Giving examples of how urban transformation works were hindered during his term as the mayor of the district, İmamoğlu drew attention to the importance of conducting this process in a supra-political manner.

“There is NO POLITICAL MIND TO AVOID 16 MILLIONS”

Emphasizing that, with the approval of CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, they have been working in mutual cooperation with the Minister of Environment and Urbanization Murat Kurum on urban transformation, İmamoğlu said, “He has shown respect for this from the very beginning and he has been trying to support us in the same way. Let me underline. I thank him. However, it seems cruel to me to convey the initiative of such local mayors and political actors in this way. I'm bored, I'm sad," he said. Sharing the information that they invited the Mayor of Pendik to the groundbreaking ceremony, but did not attend, İmamoğlu said:

“Yesterday, while opening the Waste Incineration Plant, I said; 'I would like to thank our previous mayor Kadir Topbaş, may God have mercy on him, for signing the start of this process in 2017.' We took over with a construction completion close to 20 percent. We took over with around 5 percent financial completion. We completed 95 percent of the finance and 80 percent of the construction. But first, we respectfully and respectfully thanked the person who started it. Because continuity is key. Today we start, tomorrow someone else will finish, here he cuts the ribbon with the deeds given. Such is life, such is the public. Nobody owns property. Therefore, such works should be supported and they should not be manipulated. Moreover, there is no one in Istanbul who will shake our reputation. They're just messing around. Because there is no political mind, no political will to get ahead of the 16 million people behind us. In that respect, it only stays with what it upsets us. I invite Mr. President to act cautiously, cautiously, more meticulously and to speak in this regard.”

TO PENDIK, THE CASE OF BAĞCILAR

Giving examples of their investments in Pendik, İmamoğlu underlined that they aim to provide equal service to all 39 districts. Reminding that they attended the event in Bağcılar Square, which they reorganized and reopened in the past days, together with Bağcılar Mayor Lokman Çağırıcı, İmamoğlu said, “The Mayor came and explained his services. We said; 'May Allah open your way, do better works. We talked about our own affairs. So this concept should be deleted in this country. The person elected as the district mayor; How well our President said; 'You will leave your badge. Put on the Turkish flag badge, serve.' Point. We're doing the bison," he said.

“KIPTAŞ PASSED 3 TIMES AUDIT OF THE TCA”

Pointing out that KİPTAŞ, which had never been examined during the previous administration, was subject to the TCA audit three times in its own term, İmamoğlu said, “We are happy about that, too; increases our reputation. We are not afraid of being scrutinized. We resent the lack of control of the past. Why? Our files were confiscated by the Ministry of Interior. Why? Why for God's sake? As seen in history, during the pandemic period, the citizens confiscated our 3 million liras, which were donated and should go to the citizens in need. For God's sake, which country, which state would let people live this? Hundreds of examples like this. Therefore, we will do a very valuable job here. Yes, KIPTAS will earn money from here. Of course, there are private sector representatives who take the process of this work as well. I wish them success too. I would like to thank them for their participation in this work under these difficult conditions. We will support them,” he said. Underlining that KIPTAS and the IMM of this period are a reputable institution, İmamoğlu said, “We stand behind our project. We own our project. Of course, we expect the intense interest of Istanbulites.” İmamoğlu said, “Times have changed, it will change. We are entering a period in which the riches of this country, the blessings of this country, will be shared with 5 million people of this city and 16 million people of this country.

THEY POST THE FIRST MORTAR TO THE FOUNDATION

Ali Kurt, General Manager of KİPTAŞ, also defined the "Arkatlı Evler" project with the words "the first resource developer project of the new era". "The most important feature of these projects for us is that they are sustainable," said Kurt. In addition to Mayor İmamoğlu, CHP Istanbul Deputy Erdoğan Toprak, Kartal Mayor Gökhan Yüksel, İBB Deputy Secretary General Can Akın Çağlar, KİPTAŞ General Manager Ali Kurt and many guests attended the groundbreaking ceremony. Pressing the buttons after the speeches, the protocol poured the first mortar of the construction on the foundation.
