In cooperation with the General Directorate of Forestry (OGM), Bayraktar TB2 UAVs also take an active role in the early detection of forest fires and efficient management of extinguishing efforts.

According to OGM data, 2020 Bayraktar TB1 UAV, which served in the summer period in 2, monitored an area of ​​approximately 3.5 million hectares from the air and performed the work of 361 fire monitoring towers from the sky. In this way, 2020 forest fires were detected at the beginning stage in 345 and extinguished before they grow. The pioneering and innovative solution followed by Turkey in the fight against forest fires continued to grow in 2021.

Bayraktar TB3 UAVs stationed in Manisa/Akhisar, Muğla/Milas and Denizli/Çardak, the 2 main centers determined by OGM, served under the coordination of Baykar's teams. Bayraktar TB2, which works with the software developed by Baykar and the technological infrastructure it has established, can scan an area of ​​400 km² at once with a thermal camera and detect fires up to 185 kilometers away at the initial stage. Bayraktar TB2 UAVs actively worked in the detection and extinguishment of 2021 forest fires in 19 until 267 November; He detected 155 fires at the initial stage, and performed follow-up and coordination duties in extinguishing 112 fires.
