22,3 Kilometers Section of Malatya Northern Ring Road Completed

AK Party Malatya Deputy Hakan Kahtalı shared information about the latest status of the Northern Ring Road, which is of great importance in terms of transportation to Malatya and the region.

Stating that the works on the road started in 2016 continued uninterruptedly and rapidly, Kahtalı said, "Our Northern Ring Road, with a total length of 53,5 km and a cost of 538 million TL, is of great importance for both our city and our region, which the people of Malatya have been looking forward to its completion for years. one way. The Northern Ring Road, which will also fulfill an important function in reducing the urban traffic load, will meet a great need of Malatya. Praise be to Allah, the construction of this road continues without any problems. We are doing our best to put the road into service as soon as possible. Hopefully, our aim is to ensure that the road is opened to service in 2023, which is the determined date”.

Expressing that 308 million TL of production has been realized on the Northern Ring Road so far and 57 percent of the physical realization has been achieved, Kahtalı said, “There are 25 bridges within the project. A total of 9 kilometers of roads were completed on the main road this year. Earthworks, engineering structures and superstructure works are continuing on the main road and connection road. "To date, the construction of a total of 22,3 kilometers of the road and 10 bridges has been completed," he said.

Emphasizing that the distance between east and west will both shorten and become more comfortable with the completion of the Northern Ring Road, which will be put into service in 2023, Kahtalı said, "At this point, I would like to thank our President, our ministers and the contractor company, who contributed to the acceleration of the construction of the road."

Stating that Malatya broke new ground in transportation during the AK Party period, Kahtalı continued as follows: “We have invested 8 billion 906 million TL in transportation and infrastructure in Malatya so far. While there were only 2003 km of divided roads in Malatya in 36, we made 407 km of divided roads and reached a total of 443 km. Again, we built a total of 512 km of roads, including 658 km of state roads and 170 km of provincial roads. Our investments in this area will continue to increase. I wish these investments to be beneficial for Malatya.”
