After the National Library-Beşevler route, which is the first stage of 2,5 kilometers, the Metropolitan Municipality, which opened the blue roads in many university campuses and organized industrial zones, finally completed the bicycle path in Gölbaşı Mogan Park.
While the number of blue roads in the capital is increasing day by day, the bicycle path construction works on 2670th Street in the Etimesgut-Eryaman region have started.
IT IS TARGET TO COMPLETE 53,6 KM OF BICYCLE ROAD IN 1 YEAR
Until today, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality has built a 2,5-kilometer bicycle path for transportation, a 30-kilometer university, and a bicycle path in the park and in the industrial zones.
While the total 53,6-kilometer bicycle path project, which was suspended due to the pandemic and started after the normalization process, was planned to be completed within 1 year, all of the prepared bicycle path route projects were approved by the Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME). The Metropolitan Municipality, which was awarded the construction tender for the remaining 9 stages on October 6, 2021, started the construction works on the Eryaman West route.
METRO CONNECTION
Continuing the construction of bicycle paths in areas where Ankara topography is suitable, the Metropolitan Municipality has 10 university campuses, 2 industrial zones, more than 30 public institutions, more than 40 schools, sports complexes, hospitals, shopping centers and many park areas on the routes within the scope of the project. will complete.
All bicycle path routes will be connected to metro stations, while all of the bicycle paths will be connected after the completion of the other stages.
