Under the leadership of the Presidency of Defense Industries and the main contractor of TAI, the T-70 Utility Helicopter Program will meet the needs of six users, namely the Land Forces Command, the Air Force Command, the Gendarmerie General Command, the Special Forces Command, the General Directorate of Security and the General Directorate of Forestry. Along with the IMAS (Integrated Modular Avionics System) avionics suite, the development, production and integration activities of navigation, communication and electronic warfare systems to be used in helicopters are also carried out by ASELSAN.

In this context, the hardware, software and system level verification studies of the newly developed IMAS avionics suite have been completed. Following the IMAS test preparation review meeting, which is an important stage under the responsibility of ASELSAN, the integration of the IMAS avionics suite to the prototype S-70i helicopter located at the ASELSAN Akyurt campus was completed.

Within the scope of the project, Sikorsky company's S-70i model helicopter will be produced in Turkey with a production model under license, and the production license will also meet Turkey's future needs. When the ASELSAN Mission Management System (IMAS), the software and hardware of which has been completely developed by ASELSAN, is integrated into the existing flight and mission management system of the S-70i Black Hawk helicopter, the helicopter in its final configuration will be referred to as the T-70 Black Hawk.

The celebration event, attended by all ASELSAN employees who contributed to the completion of this important stage, was held at ASELSAN Akyurt facilities with the participation of Deputy General Manager and MGEO Sector Head Mustafa Kaval.

Within the scope of the project, the preparation review meeting for platform level tests, which is the responsibility of Sikorsky, was also completed. It is planned that the ground tests will be completed and the first flight will be carried out after the flight approval is obtained by the Sikorsky Quality Assurance Board (QAB), the certification authority of the project, in the near future.
