Why Does TCDD Lose the Republic Gain?

CHP Adana Deputy Dr. Müzeyyen Şevkin questioned the damage of TCDD and canceled train services at the parliamentary general assembly

Republican People's Party (CHP) Adana Deputy Dr. Müzeyyen Şevkin brought the damage of the Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) and the canceled train services to the agenda of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM).

Speaking at the General Assembly, Dr. Şevkin emphasized that unfortunately, there are problems or cancellations in train services all over our country, which is covered with iron nets. Emphasizing that they repeatedly questioned why TCDD was hurting, however, the necessary explanations were not made and the necessary precautions were not taken. Sevkin said:

“The flights in various regions of our country, which were canceled on the pretext of the pandemic, should be restarted. For example, it is not known why the Adana - Pozantı - Konya - Eregli train services were canceled. Why are thousands of our citizens who return to their highlands in the summer and to their homes in the winter with these train services? Why is there no attempt to restructure TCDD and to serve our people fully?

Addressing the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu from the General Assembly of the Assembly, Dr. Şevkin said, “Do not be indifferent to the rightful demand of the citizen. Do not let TCDD, the great gain of the Republic, cause more damage.”
