Office Furniture Industry Will Reach Its Export Targets with MODEKO Fair

The office furniture industry, which earned $2021 million in foreign currency in the 9-month period of 216, is getting ready for the show at the Izmir Furniture Fair. Members of the Office and Business Furniture Manufacturers Industrialists Businessmen Association (OFISMOD), which is based in Izmir and operates throughout Turkey, will participate in the MODEKO Fair in 2022.

The officials of Nobel Expo Fair, who rolled up their sleeves to organize the Izmir Furniture Fair (MODEKO) in 2022, and OFISMOD members came together.

OFISMOD Chairman of the Board Gökhan Hepkafadar stated that they aim to fill all the halls at MODEKO 2022 Fair, which will be held in Turkey's largest fairground, Fuarİzmir.

According to the data of Aegean Exporters' Associations; Informing that Turkey exported office furniture worth $2021 million in the January-September period of 216, Hepkafadar said, “Due to the pandemic, people worked from their homes for a long time. Everyone is going back to their offices now. It's time to renew the office. The increase in raw material and freight prices brought the Turkish furniture industry to a more advantageous point against China. We will leave the year 2021 behind with an export of around 300 million dollars. With MODEKO Fair and other promotional activities in 2022 and beyond, we aim to increase our office furniture exports to 10 billion dollars in a 1-year period. There is this dynamism in our industry,” he said.

Emphasizing that they acted with the aim of holding Turkey's largest furniture fair in İzmir, Hepkafadar concluded his words as follows: “The MODEKO Fair, which our Aegean Furniture Paper and Forest Products Exporters Association has been supporting for many years with its successful "Buying Committee" organizations, is one of the most important furniture fairs in the world. As OFİSMOD, we will show the necessary sacrifice to do this. In 2022, we will take our place in MODEKO with 40 companies from the office furniture sector. We believe that success will come if all institutions of the sector act together.”
