Mersin Swimming Marathon Soli Pompeiopolis Swimming Race Applications Started

Under the leadership of Metropolitan Mayor Vahap Seçer, Mersin is also becoming the city of sports. Applications for the Mersin Swimming Marathon Soli Pompeiopolis Swimming Race, organized in the main sport of the Metropolitan Municipality and Racetiming company, with the slogan “You swim, you will make history” have started. In the marathon, whose registration deadline is set as October 10, 2021, swimmers will swim from the city center on October 17 to Mezitli Soli Pompeiopolis Beach.

Swimmers will be able to participate in the Mersin Swimming Marathon with peace of mind, thanks to the importance that President Seçer attaches to sea cleaning and the efforts of the teams that continue their cleaning activities uninterruptedly. There are two tracks, short and long, in the race. The end point of both tracks was determined as Pompeiopolis Beach. The 1200-meter short track, which is open to the public, will start from Viranşehir, and the 8-meter long track, which will be attended by professional swimmers, will start from Mersin İdman Yurdu Square.

Participation in the short course is free.

A copy of ID, 2021 visa license, health report, notary approved parent permission document for swimmers under 18 are required from the participants. Citizens must upload their documents to the system via mersinyuzmemaraton.com until October 10, 2021, 17.00 at the latest. The participation fee for the long track was determined as 50 TL. Swimmers who will compete in the short course will be able to participate free of charge.

Race time limited to 2,5 hours

Each participant's time to complete the marathon will be measured electronically with the chip. Athletes are requested to use the electronic chip provided during registration in accordance with the instructions. The race start of the long course will be at 10.00:10.30 and the race start of the short course will be at 2,5:XNUMX. Swimming time was limited to a maximum of XNUMX hours.

The awards according to age categories are as follows:

• In the 11,12, 13 and 500 age categories, 300 TL for the first, 200 TL for the second, XNUMX TL for the third;
• In the 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 age categories, 1000 TL for the first, 750 TL for the second, 500 TL for the third;
• In the 20-24 age category, 1000 TL for the first place, 750 TL for the second, 500 TL for the third;
• In the 25-30 age category, 500 TL for the first place, 300 TL for the second, 200 TL for the third;
• In the 31-36 age category, 500 TL for the first place, 300 TL for the second, 200 TL for the third;
• In the 37-42 age category, 500 TL for the first place, 300 TL for the second, 200 TL for the third;
• In the 43-48 age category, 500 TL for the first place, 300 TL for the second, 200 TL for the third;
• In the 49-54 age category, 500 TL for the first place, 300 TL for the second, 200 TL for the third;
• In the 55-60 age category, 500 TL for the first place, 300 TL for the second, 200 TL for the third;
• 61 TL for the first place, 500 TL for the second, 300 TL for the third in the category 200 and over.
