IMM's telecommunication infrastructure and information technologies company, ISTTELKOM AŞ, gathered the data of IGDAŞ under the roof of IMM. Thus, the information of the servers will be more proactively protected against cyber attacks by the IMM Data Center 7/24. At the same time, 12 million TL savings will be targeted, and backup will be provided in case of disasters.

İBB has increased its measures against cyber attack, which is the most important threat of the IT sector. Servers belonging to İGDAŞ were moved to İBB Data Center by ISTTELKOM AŞ. With the operation, 4,7 IT equipment and 220 servers with a total weight of 550 tons were transferred. ISTTELKOM, which previously provided data transfer for 27 İBB subsidiaries, increased this number to 28 together with İGDAŞ. Providing services in many areas, especially in cyber security, server, data storage (cloud system), the security structure of the IMM Data Center, which has the Uptime TIER III facility standard, prevents citizen data from being damaged in disasters such as earthquakes, fires and floods.

İGDAŞ General Manager Dr. Mithat Bulent Ozmen; “With the project of moving our system rooms located in three different locations to the IMM Data Center, corporate redundancy and high-level security have been provided against disaster situations. At the same time, we aim to save 12 million TL with the efficient use of resources by preventing high-cost information technology investments and operating costs,'' he said.

ISTTELKOM General Manager Nihat Narin gave information about the works carried out; “In 2019, we increased the number of companies using data centers, which are used by only 16 subsidiaries, to 28, and the capacity utilization rate to 30%. We mobilized the idle IMM resources and significantly increased the productivity within the group. With the consolidated technology management of 200 İBB companies, we saved approximately 7 million TL. With the investments we have made and the measures we have taken, citizens' data in the IMM Data Center is proactively protected 24/XNUMX against physical and cyber attacks."
