The Hyundai i20 N was chosen as the most enjoyable and impressive car in the Speed Week test drive event held by the world-renowned British automobile magazine and TV show Top Gear. 26 high-performance models were invited to the event, led by the magazine's famous test pilot Stig and editor Chris Harris. Hyundai i1.000 N drew attention with its sporty appearance and dynamic driving characteristics among its more powerful rivals in the test drives, which included 20 hp super sports, ultra-light, two-seater exotic models as well as electric coupe cars with high torque. The i20 N, which performed the best on the famous Dunsfold circuit, was thus named the 2021 champion of Top Gear Speed Week. Speed Week (TG Speed Week) is a traditional name for extensive testing that lasts for several days.
The Hyundai i20 N received full marks from the pilots with its sharpness, rigid structure, acceleration, road holding and braking ability, which it showed on the long straights as well as the hardest bends of the track. At the same time, although it is the most affordable model, it stood out with its structure that is more interesting and suitable for daily use than models that are many times more expensive than itself.
i20 N: The smallest yet powerful N model
The Hyundai i20 N combines the success of the popular B segment model i20 with the sporty and fun-to-drive spirit of Hyundai N. The N Department, founded in motorsport, produces a highly anticipated hot-hatch for European consumers, while at the same time taking inspiration from the i20 N model in the development of the WRC car competing in the world rally championship. Despite being the smallest N model, the design from motorsport highlights the car's strong and durable potential. Hyundai's second hot-hatch model, the i20 N, offers a class-leading power-to-weight ratio with 171 PS per tonne for better handling and an immersive driving experience. The five-door performance model, with its state-of-the-art connectivity, infotainment and advanced safety features, is also a very suitable car for everyday use.
Hyundai i20 N, i10, i20 and BAYON are produced in Hyundai Assan's Izmit facilities and exported to more than 40 countries. The Hyundai i20 N will be offered for sale in Turkey in the near future and will meet with performance-loving car enthusiasts.
