At the 12th Transport and Communications Council organized by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, future opportunities and a new road map were determined. Noting that the Paris Climate Agreement was accepted by Turkey, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu said that environmentalist and domestic investments will come to the fore in the future.

The 12th Transport and Communications Council has ended. 3 ministers from 55 countries attended the 13 day Council. 105 thousand participants showed interest in the Council where 20 companies were present. 46 speakers at the main session, 15 speakers at the industry meetings, and 12 speakers at the Transporttech Hall evaluated the latest developments in their field.

In the panels where "future transportation and communication systems" were discussed, it was emphasized that the technologies to be used in the future should be both environmentalist and domestic and national.

5 TARGETS FOR 474 SECTORS

Evaluating the meeting held, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu announced that 5 targets were determined for 474 sectors. Referring to the importance of environmentalism, Karaismailoğlu reminded that Turkey accepted the Paris Climate Agreement. Saying that the green port certificate is on their agenda, Karaismailoğlu noted that they aim to reach zero carbon in aviation. Karaismailoğlu said that reducing carbon emissions on highways is their priority. Karaismailoğlu also stated that they are working to increase the rate of locality used in the projects.

NEW STANDARDS OF SUPPLY CHAINS HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED

Stating that during the three-day council, they discussed the new standards of transportation strategies and global supply chain on a global scale after Kovid-19, Karaismailoğlu also said that they discussed the effects of transportation corridors on countries in all aspects.
