Turkey's global land systems manufacturer Otokar will exhibit ARMA 28×31 and its tactical wheeled armored vehicle URAL at the SITDEF Fair, which will be held in Lima, the capital of Peru, between October 8-8.

Otokar will exhibit the ARMA 31×8 armored combat vehicle, which has received great acclaim on a global scale, at the fair, which will last until October 8. Otokar will also promote its tactical wheeled armored vehicle URAL. Otokar will present its military vehicles and convey its capabilities in land systems in the organization that will last for 4 days.

Otokar, one of the Koç Group companies, increased its turnover by 2021 percent in the first 9 months of 53 compared to the same period of the previous year. Operating in more than 5 countries on 60 continents with its products whose intellectual property rights belong to itself, Otokar has increased its turnover to 2.7 billion TL at the end of the third quarter. Having increased its exports by 41 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, Otokar's 9-month exports amounted to 224 million USD and its net profit was 516.4 million TL.

Otokar General Manager Serdar Görgüç stated that Otokar, which continues its production activities with its 2 employees in its factory in Sakarya, achieved successful results in the first 230 months of the year despite the ongoing pandemic conditions; “While we continue to work for new projects in export markets, we have shown great success in tenders in the domestic market. We delivered 9 buses that we produced for Izmir public transportation within a short period of 364 months after receiving the order. We exported natural gas buses to Ukraine. We have successfully delivered our 7×4 and 4×8 armored vehicles that we have ordered before.” said.

“Work continues in the field of Defense Industry”

Görgüç also mentioned the developments in technology; “In the field of technology, too, we are focusing on our efforts that will take Otokar to a higher league on a global scale. After Turkey's first hybrid bus, we introduced Turkey's first electric bus in 2011. We continue our work for our autonomous bus, which we announced at the beginning of the year, without slowing down. On the other hand, we continue to work on the development of unmanned and remote-controlled land systems in the field of defense industry.” said.
