In order to reduce our country's dependence on foreign energy needs, Aspilsan Energy added a new one to its R&D activities and opened an R&D office in Trakya University Technopark in order to carry out green energy studies.

Before the opening of the R&D office, Trakya University Vice Rector and Trakya University Foreign Relations Application and Research Center Director Prof. Dr. Murat Türkyılmaz and Trakya Technopark General Manager Dr. Faculty Member Özgür Özdemir gave information about the works carried out in the technopark.

Ferhat Özsoy, General Manager of ASPİLSAN Energy, made the following statement regarding the R&D office they opened in Trakya University Technopark: “The solution to the sustainability of turning to renewable sources in energy production within the scope of reducing carbon emissions is the storage of energy. As ASPİLSAN Energy, we make a special effort to localize the materials used in energy storage technologies. With the R&D studies we will carry out in this context at Trakya University Technopark, we will make significant contributions to Edirne and Trakya University, as well as to our country's economy. In this sense, we are very excited to work with the faculty members at Trakya University and the industrialists in the region and to provide employment to the students.”

Stating that ASPİLSAN Energy has R&D offices in Kayseri, Ankara and Istanbul, Trakya University Vice Rector and Trakya University Foreign Relations Application and Research Center Director Prof. Dr. Murat Türkyılmaz emphasized that ASPİLSAN Energy provides very important support to the defense industry and has become a globally valuable brand. prof. Dr. Türkyılmaz continued his words as follows: “We have no doubt that ASPİLSAN Energy will undertake value-added projects with Trakya University and Trakya University Technopark. As Trakya University, we are ready to support all the studies to be carried out in this context.”

After the speeches, ASPİLSAN Energy's R&D office was opened.
