IMM rearranged Taksim traffic circulation due to the opening of the new AKM building on October 29. With the route arrangement that will continue throughout the day, it is aimed to reduce the traffic density expected in the region on Friday.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) took the decision of UTK (Transportation and Traffic Regulation Commission) due to the opening ceremony of the new AKM (Atatürk Cultural Center) building to be held on Friday, October 29, 2021.
On the 98th anniversary of the Republic Day, the connection roads providing access to the AKM building will also be opened. The "Temporary Traffic Circulation around Beyoğlu Taksim Square Atatürk Cultural Center", prepared in this context, will be implemented throughout the day on Friday, October 29, 2021.
By decision; Mete Street, Tak-ı Zafer Street, Osmanlı Street, Dünya Health Street, the part of Sıraselviler Street up to the intersection with Kazancı Yokuşu and the part of İnönü Street up to Vakıf Çıkmazı will be closed to traffic for 1 day.
As an alternative route to the roads to be closed; Kurabiye Street, Zambak Street, Meşelik Street, Kazancı Slope, Pürtela Street, Kutlu Street, Muhtar Kamil Street, İnönü Street and Miralay Şefik Bey Street were determined.
IMM will coordinate the traffic flow in the region with the direction signs and the Police teams.
