A decision was made at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME) meeting that concerns electric scooter users. It accepted the proposal to ban electric scooters from parking in certain areas. So where is it forbidden to park electric scooters?

At the meeting, Electric Scooter Park Prohibited Areas were determined unanimously. Accordingly: Within 100 meters of the Presidency buildings, 20 meters from the entrance and exit gates of military security and forbidden zones, within the borders of military security and forbidden zones (Concrete Wall, Wire Mesh, etc.)10 within 20 meters from the entrance and exit doors of the security units, diplomatic representations and prisons, within 2.5 meters of the tram lines, within 5 meters of the entrances of the metro stations, to the walls of palaces and pavilions, to the historical walls and gates, to the entrances and exits of health institutions, It is forbidden to park e-scooters at school entrances and exits, at the entrances and exits of firefighters, at the entrances and exits of public buildings, at pedestrian crossings, on disabled ramps, on disabled roads, at public transportation stops and at fire hydrants. In addition, e-scooters will not be able to enter trams and metrobusways.
