  • October 30, 1897 The Extraordinary Commissioner of Egypt, Ahmet Muhtar Pasha, in his letter addressed to Sultan Abdulhamid, proposed that the railroad line from Damascus to Suez Canal and from Konya to Damascus be started immediately. It was discussed in Vükela i. The necessity of the line was confirmed.
  • With the Armistice of Mudros on 30 October 1918, the Allied Powers seized all the German railways and the Germans there were sent to their countries.

Nikita Khrushchev reported that this test, codenamed "Tsar Bomb", was originally planned with a power of 100 megatons, but they kept the power limited because they feared the fallout.
  • 1961 – Turkey and Germany signed the official employment contract.
  • 1970 – The heaviest monsoons of the last six years in Vietnam: 293 people died, 200 people were left homeless.
