The 12th Transport and Communication Council organized by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure continued with the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Speaking in the special session, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu emphasized that the investments have been realized with the vision of President Erdoğan and the support of the nation, and said, "We continue to take the necessary steps with great determination to carry Turkey to its 2023, 2035, 2053 and 2071 targets."

With the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, a special session was held within the scope of the 12th Transport and Communications Council. Speaking at the opening of the session, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu said, “We are fulfilling our goals one by one with our investments and plans, which we have implemented with your vision and the support of our nation. We continue to take the necessary steps with great determination to grow our country on the basis of investment, production, exports and employment, and to carry Turkey to 2023, 2035, 2053 and 2071 targets.

Noting that with this approach, they organized a council to address international cooperation opportunities, regional problems and solution proposals in the field of transportation, Karaismailoğlu said that many transport ministers and deputy ministers from 55 different countries, senior executives of international organizations and opinion leaders with foresight in transportation-communication issues attended the meeting. .

We saw that; Our mega projects that we have implemented on behalf of our country have not only won the appreciation of our nation, they are also closely followed by international circles. Turkey; It is also the center of 4 countries with only 1 hours of flight time, 650 billion 38 million people live, 7 trillion dollars Gross National Product and 45 trillion 67 billion dollars trade volume. With the mission that this strategic position imposes on us, our country; We are making it a regional intersection and hub of air, sea, land and railways.”

Emphasizing that the global scale giant transportation projects such as Marmaray, Eurasia Tunnel, Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, Osmangazi Bridge, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway, Istanbul Airport, Filyos Port, which were implemented under the leadership of President Erdoğan, have proven to the whole world how determined and assertive he is. , “Again, the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge rising over the Dardanelles and connecting Asia with Europe again; It will be the world's largest bridge in its field, with a steel pier height of 318 meters and a span between two piers of 2023 meters. Within the framework of the action plan, we aim to develop sustainable and smart transportation, green maritime and green port practices, and railway transportation. In this way, we will reduce fuel consumption and emissions and expand the use of micro-mobility vehicles. In the upcoming period; We will hear the concepts of digitalization, decarbonization, autonomous transportation and universal access a lot. In addition, we will continue to establish a transportation and communication infrastructure based on scientific foundations, sensitive to people, the environment and history, with the principles of transparency, participation and sharing, and focused on regional and global holistic development.
