TCDD Kocaeli made a statement about the train accident in Gebze.
In the statement, “On Friday, October 29, at 10.40, during the maneuver of the empty wagons waiting for spares in the Gebze station area, the wagons moved and went off the road as a result of the slope. The safety system was activated and all trains in the region were completely stopped. There was no loss of life. An administrative investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
