Queues Formed at Gas Stations Before Fuel Raise Activated

CHP Deputy Chairman Ahmet Akın drew attention to the queues created by citizens at gas stations before the fuel price hike came into effect. Akın used the following statements in his statement:

“CHP Deputy Chairman Ahmet Akın drew attention to the queues created by the citizens at the gas stations before the fuel hike came into effect, and said, “Our citizens queued up after the price hike news. The real queues are here. Our citizens, who heard the news of the hike, queued up. Our citizens are in the queue to fill the tank of their vehicles, at least a little cheaper," he said.

Ahmet Akın, Deputy Chairman of the CHP responsible for Energy and Infrastructure, viewed the fuel queue that the citizens entered in order not to be affected by the hikes after the hikes in diesel and gasoline. Pointing out that citizens are now queuing before midnight to avoid the hike, Akın from CHP said:

“The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources talked about sacrifice just two days ago. Then we got the news of the increase in gasoline and diesel oil. Thus, the 22nd hike was made in the last year, reflecting the fuel products on the pump. We always say: The policy that the AK Party government knows best is to raise money. If the AK Party makes a raise! We said months ago that the Eşel mobile system would cause either hikes or an increase in SCT in the fall. We warned the government, but they slept on their ears again.”

Drawing attention to the queues formed at gas stations by citizens lining up to buy fuel before 24.00, Akın from CHP said:

“President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan says that there are queues in France, Germany and England. The real queues are here. This is the queue for the raise of the citizens. Our citizens, who heard the news of the hike, queued up. Our citizens are in the queue to fill the tank of their vehicles at least a little cheaper. The AK Party government is responsible.”
