The Presidential 2nd International Yacht Races, organized by the Istanbul Offshore Yacht Racing Club under the auspices of the Presidency, will be hosted by Galataport Istanbul this year. Racers from all over the world will compete on the tracks, including the Galataport Istanbul Gates, the most critical turning point of the race, on October 29-31. Galataport Istanbul celebrates the 29 October Republic Day together with all Istanbulites and visitors of the city by hosting a very special event. The Istanbul stage of the Presidential 2nd International Yacht Races will provide a unique excitement and pleasure to everyone, especially sports enthusiasts, with the tracks to be held in the Bosphorus under the name of “the city living on two continents” between 29-31 October. Under the auspices of the Presidency; The Republic Cup track will be held on the Bosphorus on 29 October in the races organized by the Istanbul Offshore Yacht Racing Club in cooperation with the Governorship of Istanbul and the Governorship of Muğla, with the contributions of the TR Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the TR Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the TR Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Republic Day enthusiasm will be watched from Galataport Istanbul, accompanied by the races.
The Republic Cup (Bosphorus), Blue Vatan Cup (Islands track) and Barbaros Hayreddin Pasha Cup (Caddebostan track) stages will be held in the races that will start on October 29, Republic Day. Galataport Istanbul will have two return gates under its own name this year on the track between Dolmabahçe and Anadolu Hisarı, which will start with a moment of silence in front of Dolmabahçe in honor of Atatürk and his comrades, and the track will lean against the beach. Thanks to the world's first underground cruise terminal connected to a special hatch system, Galataport, which was opened to access after 200 years, will have the opportunity to watch the race closely on the coastline, squares and streets of Istanbul and will celebrate the 29 October Republic Day with this visual feast.
