Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu said that they plan to open the Konya-Karaman high-speed train line in the next month.

In an exclusive interview broadcast live in A Haber, Minister Karaismailoğlu said that the final preparations were made for the opening of the Karaman-Konya High Speed Train line, the opening of which turned into a snake story and could not be opened on any given date, and that they aim to open this line to passenger transportation in November.

Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “We actually started the railways very early. In the last 19 years, huge investments have been made in railways. Our country met the high-speed train. More than 50 million of our citizens traveled by rail. Our aim here is to distribute high-speed railways to all parts of our country. We will go to Ankara-İzmir, Konya-Karaman, Ulukışla-Niğde, and from there to Mersin. Within the scope of our logistics activities, we have a goal of knitting all over our country with railways. It is impossible not to have railways in an environment where the Paris Agreement, exhaust-emissions and neutral carbons are discussed.
