Explaining the concepts of Industry 4.0, digital transformation and Society 5.0, Dr. Halıcı said that the transformation of the industry is called Industry 4.0, the transformation in every field from health to finance and from public to sports is called digital transformation, and Society 5.0 is a society understanding in which the cyber-physical world and the real society are integrated at the highest level.

Dr. Halici explained that flexible, customer-specific and affordable costs bring efficiency, but on the other hand, the reason for the crisis the world is experiencing today, as follows: “We are returning to a sensitive, high-quality, sustainable and most importantly humane way of production or work, where people work not physically but mentally. This is the reason for the crisis the world is in today. I think that physical work will be minimized.”

In this process, technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, 5G, cyber security, blockchain affect people's new life, Dr. Halıcı stated that the new life will change people's business life and working styles as well as their lifestyles.

Noting that with Industry 4.0, labor costs will decrease, working hours will be shortened, shifts will increase, and working styles will become short and part-time, Dr. Halıcı stated that this way, the products will become cheaper, the opportunity to live with less income will be created and people can see different contributions to life in other areas.

Pointing out that energy consumption will decrease to a minimum with the digital transformation of the industry, Dr. Halıcı said, “In Industry 4.0, there will be minimum energy consumption; With solutions such as solar energy and wind rose, less consumption and therefore energy cost will be minimal. We can say that the labor will be at a minimum or even close to zero. Only raw material remains. When raw materials remain, for example, we will have the opportunity to buy a car 50 percent cheaper.” used his statements.

“TECHNOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE IS IMPORTANT”

Emphasizing that labor costs are at the forefront of the reasons that lead companies to bankruptcy today, however, the most important issue in this context will be R&D and technology development in the future.
