Free İBB Wi-Fi service started on the M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line belonging to İBB. Istanbul residents using this line will be able to use the internet during the journey. Work continues on other lines as well.
Istanbul residents started to receive internet service in the subways belonging to IMM. The first test was successfully carried out today on the M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line. Free IMM Wi-Fi internet service will serve at full capacity on the M2 line starting tomorrow.
Efforts are underway to provide free internet service in other metro lines. It is expected that the approval procedures for the commissioning of the internet service on these lines are completed. The internet service decision in the metros, taken by the IMM assembly in October, was first implemented on the M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line.
Mobile internet provider phone operators will also start to serve in IMM metros after the approval process is completed. All passengers will be able to receive mobile internet service with their smart phones as well as make voice calls. Passengers who wish will also benefit from the free Wi-Fi service of IMM.
