The Ministry of Interior has launched a new service via e-Government. People who cannot make a birth notification in a health institution for various reasons will now be able to make birth notifications via e-Government. The following statements were made in the statement made by the Ministry of Interior:
“Our Ministry has launched a new service via e-Government. Citizens who cannot make a birth notification in a health institution for various reasons will now be able to make birth notifications via e-Government.
With the e-Birth application implemented by our Ministry in 2018, it was possible to make birth notifications of children born in public health institutions and whose names were determined by their parents, in the health institution where the birth took place, without going to the civil registry offices.
Within the scope of the application, 81 birth registrations have been made in 235 public health institutions in 75.546 provinces, and Republic of Turkey Identity Cards have been sent to families free of charge.
In addition to the application, thanks to the "Birth Notification Application" service through the e-Government system, citizens who cannot make a birth notification in the health institution for various reasons will now be able to make the birth notifications of their children born in the country and in the health institution via the e-Government portal.
The "Birth Notification Application" service has been added to the e-Government application, which facilitates the lives of millions of citizens and provides public services to the citizens in the easiest and most effective way, in a high quality, fast, uninterrupted and safe way, by the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs of the Ministry of Interior.
With this service, the applications related to the birth notifications of the children of Turkish citizens who were born in the country, in the health institution and who have a birth report sent to the Central Population Administration System (MERNIS), are sent to MERNIS with electronic signature via the e-Government System, and birth certificates are sent to the district population directorates based on these applications. It was possible to register the events in the family registers.
How to Notify Birth from the e-Government Gateway?
It is possible to apply for a birth notification through the system within 30 days from the date of birth of the child.
On the e-Government System by the applicant mother or father;

- Religious,
- Father name
After entering the information of the person who will receive the Republic of Turkey Identity Card (TCKK) and selecting the address where the child will be registered, the application will be signed with an electronic signature.
Applications sent to MERNIS with electronic signature over the e-Government System regarding birth notifications; The place of residence address of the applicant will be checked by the district population directorate.
If there is no situation contrary to the legislation in the population registry, the birth event will be registered in the population records and the applicant will be informed by the system. Application will be made to the population directorate.”
