Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu, in his speech at the opening of the Bridges, whose restorations have been completed, we have implemented giant projects one by one to make Istanbul one of the most developed cities not only in Europe but also in the world. With projects that the whole world admires, such as Marmaray, Eurasia Tunnel, Istanbul Airport, Camlica Tower, Northern Marmara Highway including Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, Istanbul-İzmir Highway including Osmangazi Bridge and Istanbul-Ankara High Speed Train Line We have moved you to a completely different point beyond your dreams. Again, we have implemented very important projects that improve the urban rail public transportation infrastructure in order to provide faster and easier transportation for Istanbul residents and visitors to Istanbul. He said that the length of Marmaray and Levent-Hisarüstü Metro, which we offer to the service of Istanbulites, is 80 kilometers.

ISTANBUL IS ONE OF THE WORLD'S LARGEST GLOBAL TRANSIT CENTERS FOR AVIATION

Also referring to Istanbul Airport, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu said, “Istanbul Airport, which we put into service on October 29, 2018, has made Turkey an international transfer center with its huge capacity and carried our country to the top in global aviation. Today, Istanbul is one of the world's largest global transit centers in aviation. Istanbul Airport ranks first in the list of the busiest airports in Europe. Since the first day it entered service, it has hosted over 100 million passengers.

OUR PROJECTS LEAVE DEEP IMPRESSIONS ON FOREIGN VISITORS

On the other hand, Karaismailoğlu reminded that for the first time in the world, they removed 100 scattered iron piles with the Çamlıca Tower, which can broadcast 33 FM radios simultaneously from a communication tower, and emphasized that they made a significant contribution to the silhouette of Istanbul. Karaismailoğlu said, “With its height of 587 meters above sea level, it has become the highest structure of both Istanbul and Europe. We build our service-oriented projects by considering architectural aesthetics. Cities gain their own unique identities with their lifestyles, human relations, production structures, natural and architectural features. We have transformed Istanbul into a very valuable brand city with our works and landmarks that we have added to Istanbul in the last 19 years. We also observe very well that our projects such as the Istanbul Airport, the Eurasia Tunnel, the Yavuz Sultan Selim and Osmangazi bridges, and the Camlica Tower, with their original architectures, leave deep impressions and positive effects on foreign visitors. They see how Turkey has developed and become stronger. For this reason, we will continue to preserve and exhibit our unique architectural understanding that expresses our identity in all the projects we will implement. The 1915 Çanakkale Bridge also rises like a monument.”
