The 29th anniversary of the 98 October Republic Day was celebrated with an official ceremony held on Vatan Street.

On the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the 98 October Republic Day, an official parade was held on Vatan Caddesi in Fatih. Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya, 1st Army Commander Lieutenant General Kemal Yeni attended the "Republic Day Celebration Ceremony", their spouses; Hatice Nur Yerlikaya attended with Asuman Yeni and Dilek Kaya İmamoğlu. Many citizens rushed to Vatan Street with Turkish flags in their hands. Within the scope of the celebrations; Yerlikaya, Yeni and İmamoğlu greeted the citizens on the open-top vehicle. Ceremony; It started with a moment of silence for Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades in arms and all our martyrs, singing the National Anthem and hoisting the flag. After President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's message was read, his governor Yerlikaya delivered his speech.

“TURKISH STARS” SHOW

In the ceremony, which continued with Rabia Bostancıoğlu's award-winning poem, which came first in the poetry competition held by the Provincial Directorate of National Education, high school students Hazal Aslan and Ömür Baha Dokuzlar also recited Ömer Bedrettin Uşaklı's poem “Towards the Mediterranean”. After the choir concert consisting of teachers, Üsküdar National Education Foundation Secondary School students' folk dance team performed a folklore show. The parade began with the military band team taking their place in the ceremony area. The show of "Turkish Stars", the first team in the world to show with 8 supersonic warplanes, also took place at the ceremony.
