Train Crash in the USA: 3 Dead, 50 Injured

In the US state of Montana, seven cars of a 10-car train derailed. An investigation was launched into the accident, in which three people died and at least 50 people were injured.

A passenger train derailed in Joplin, Montana, according to a written statement from Amtrak, the largest rail operator in the US.

It was stated in the statement that 5 wagons of the train named "Empire Builder", which makes the Chicago-Seattle expedition, derailed, and that there were 147 passengers and 13 personnel on the train at the time of the accident.

In Amtrak's statement, it was stated that many injured in the incident, while the Liberty District Sheriff announced that at least 3 people died as a result of the accident.

The cause of the accident is not yet known. The US National Transportation Security Administration launched an investigation.
