Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mediterranean Academy's “Oh Brother Thessaloniki Izmir 1880-1912 Regional Centers, Global Port Cities” exhibition will reopen tomorrow as part of the UCLG Culture Summit to be held in Izmir between 9-11 September.
In the exhibition, where these two important port cities of the Eastern Mediterranean are discussed both with their unique aspects and comparatively, it is possible to find traces of the process experienced after the Industrial Revolution and the effects it created on the fabric of these cities and societies. The exhibition is based on the “Mediterranean Urban Portraits Project”. The exhibition, which gives the opportunity to look at the past relations of these two cities, which are seen as 'brothers' today, will be held on September 4-29, 2021. EGİAD Social and Cultural Activities Center-Historical Portuguese Synagogue can be visited.
