Ali İhsan Uygun, General Manager of TCDD, Was Dismissed

Ali İhsan Uygun, who was appointed as the General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD), was dismissed at midnight with the Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette. Abdülkerim Murat Atik will now carry out the task of Uygun.

Abdülkerim Murat Atik, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sun Group, was appointed to replace Ali İhsan Uygun. Sun Group, which has been operating commercially since 1993, became the first company to obtain Turkey's first private passenger transport license for railways from the Ministry of Transport on December 28, 2020.

It was noteworthy that the head of the company, which carries out its studies for the tourism sleeper train operation with the Japanese HIS Global company under the name of Cappadocia Express with an investment of 40 million euros, was appointed to the state institution TCDD.
