A total of 25 million 1 thousand TL compensation was paid to Zeynep Aydıncı, Sinem Topçu and Yeliz Karakaş, who were injured in the train accident in Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, where 471 people lost their lives, by the Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD), who were found at fault with the expert report.
While the lawsuit filed by Zeynep Aydıncı, who was injured in the Çorlu train accident, at the Istanbul Commercial Court of First Instance and Sinem Topçu at the Ankara Commercial Court of First Instance continues, lawyers Ferda Sevim and Bilal Sayın contacted TCDD. In the meeting, a consensus was reached with TCDD, whose units were found to be defective in the accident. TCDD also reached an agreement with Yeliz Karakaş, who was warned about the case through her lawyer.
As a result of the reconciliation made before the end of the case, TCDD paid 1 million 471 thousand TL compensation to Sinep Topçu, Zeynep Aydıncı and Yeliz Karakaş. Zeynep Aydıncı and Sinep Topçu, who received the compensation amount in the company of their lawyers, withdrew from the case, while Yeliz Karakaş gave up the case.
Ferda Sevim said that compensation was paid to some people injured in the Çorlu train accident, but not at such a high rate. Sevim stated that they also followed the compensation processes of the 9 passengers who survived the accident.
