12 triathletes from Turkey and around the world participated in the Istanbul Oral B Bosphorus Triathlon held on September 500 in the Beykoz district of Istanbul.
With the contribution of Oral-B, the global brand of oral health products, Turkey, where Triathlon sport is developing rapidly, broke new ground in the world by hosting an important organization in Istanbul Beykoz. The Istanbul Oral B Bosphorus Triathlon, the world's first intercontinental triathlon competition, was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, in cooperation with the Turkish Triathlon Federation and Beykoz Municipality.
Three challenging stages in swimming, running and cycling
12 triathletes from Turkey and the world participated in the competition, which took place on September 500. In the Istanbul Oral B Bosphorus Triathlon, the athletes competed in the track consisting of 2,3 kilometers of swimming, 40 kilometers of cycling and 10 kilometers of running. Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge was closed to traffic unilaterally for the cycling stage of the struggle, which started at 06.30 in the morning with the swimming stage.
The swimming stage of the Istanbul Oral B Bosphorus Triathlon took place between Kanlıca and Küçüksu, and the running stage was between Küçüksu and Çubuklu. It is aimed that the race, which is held for the first time this year, will be included in the calendar of the European Triathlon Union as of 2022 and will be organized as part of the European Triathlon Championship.
İpek Öztosun from Göztepe Sports Club became the winner of the Elite Men's Triathlon in the Istanbul Oral B Bosphorus Triathlon, and Gültügın Er from the Yüz Thousand Koş Sports Club won the Elite Women's category.

- Bartu Ören from Celpa Sports Club, Second in Age Group Men
- Oleg Astanin from TRIA Sports Club came third in Age Group Men.
