Expo 2020 Dubai's must-see aviation show opens its doors to visitors on 1 October. Located in the Zone of Opportunity and within walking distance of the Al Wasl Dome, the Emirates Pavilion offers a preview of the future of commercial aviation, while presenting a different perspective on the role of science and technology in the next 50 years of air travel. The pavilion stand will host its visitors on two floors with interactive and multi-sensor systems.

From today, Expo 2020 Dubai visitors can schedule their visit to the Emirates Pavilion and book in advance for their preferred date and time.

Construction of the Emirates Pavilion began in March 2019 and the construction work was completed in June 2021. While a series of sustainability principles were applied in the Pavilion during the design and construction stages, non-hazardous, regional, reusable and recyclable materials were used in its overall structure, and different design solutions were included in order to reduce energy and water consumption.

The tower-like four-story design of the Emirates Pavilion was inspired by the wings of an airplane taking off at the front, and the building was fitted with 24 aluminum clad wings flanking both sides. For the exterior lighting of the Emirates Pavilion, an 800-metre LED System was used, providing vivid color illumination at night. Thanks to its bright, ultramodern design, the interiors receive a lot of natural daylight and create a suitable environment for immersive experiences. The pavilion has the capacity to host 120 people in one hour.

Here's what awaits visitors to the Emirates Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai:

Getting the "seed": The journey begins with picking up a “seed” that unlocks each experience. While this seed offers a truly different journey inside the pavilion, it also records the visitor's interactions, knowledge and experiences, which are replayed in the final with a multi-sensor.

flight science: The training images, in which holographic models are used, show how the plane flies by reflecting physical characteristics such as take-off, power produced by the engine, gravity and friction coefficient.

Clearer sky: The Cleaner Sky installation offers a tremendous experience showing how future innovations are directly linked to sustainability, population growth and technological advances, some of the biggest challenges facing the world. Visitors will also have the opportunity to compete with each other by taking an interactive quiz on aviation technologies being developed to overcome the problems of the future.

The laboratory of the future: Visitors can step into the lab of the future to perform experiments and tests with robot arms. This lab contains technologies that enable future aircraft to be faster, lighter and more powerful.

Thrust and propulsion power of the engine: The interactive displays present a series of animations exploring future engine and fuel technologies such as hypersonic, hydrogen, hybrid and electric motors. Here, using lifelike aircraft engine models, the effects of these technologies on emissions, sustainability, comfort and speed parameters are highlighted.

Design your perfect airplane: Visitors will reveal all they know to test, design and fly their very own personalized and futuristic aircraft. Thanks to the ultra-tactile interface, visitors can build aircraft using elements such as range, engine type, wings and logo, fly their aircraft in the flight simulator and get instant feedback on design decisions.

The airport of the future: Emirates will visualize the airport of the future for its visitors, allowing them to see how biometrics, data analytics and smart technologies will transform the passenger experience in ground handling.

Experience the future now: By wearing interactive Virtual Reality headsets, visitors can fully immerse themselves in the experience and explore the cabins of the future. Visitors can navigate through the interactive windows of a virtual body, eliminating the windows altogether, and even seeing a wide variety of cabins and seat configurations.

Sowing the seeds of the future now: The experience at the Emirates Pavilion will culminate with a multi-sensor, personalized 360°C cinematic presentation as each visitor returns their seeds to be uploaded to the system. This presentation will feature a dynamic narration and impressive 3D motion graphics along with information compiled during the tour.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff and Emirates Cabin Crew will be on hand to assist visitors at the Pavilion. In addition to the installations and experiences, visitors can also enjoy the Emirates Pavilion cafe on the first floor, and pick up a souvenir from the Emirates Official Store, with specially crafted Emirates and Expo 2020 Dubai merchandise.

The Emirates Pavilion will be open daily at Expo 2020 Dubai from 10am to 00pm.
