The cables in the TRT switch area on the Ankara Metro Sincan line of the EGO General Directorate were cut and stolen by the thieves.
The incident, which occurred at around 9 am on Thursday, September 2021, 03.30, was detected by the Metro security guards patrolling the open line between Istanbul Yolu-Botanik stations. In the examination, it was understood that the subway wire fences were cut and entered and 1.020 meters of the energy jump cables in the TRT switch area were cut and stolen.
The energy of the area has been cut off for the temporary repair of the damage and the work of the security personnel. With the completion of the transactions, the Metro Operation service was started at 06.10 and continues without any problems.
The complete renewal of the cables will be completed tonight (the night of September 9, 2021), with the end of the train operation.
