Aegean Young Business People Association EGİAD) and Software and Informatics Industry Cluster Association (YABISAK), the experts who spoke at the webinar on 'The Pole Star in the Digital Transformation of Companies: Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality' said that many companies have started to use artificial intelligence robots in recruitment and these robots are examining CVs, In the interviews, he said that the person applying for the job made the decision based on his facial expressions and gestures. While the robots also checked whether the person provided the correct information by comparing the information in the CV with the LinkedIn account, they noted that in the future, more people will have to participate in an interview with the robot when applying for a job.

The opening speech of the webinar held on 'World Software Day' was made by YABİSAK Chairman of the Board of Directors and ESBAŞ Executive Board Chairman Dr. with Faruk Guler EGİAD Alp Avni Yelkenbiçer, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Stating that they established YABİSAK as an NGO, university, municipality and private enterprise in order to attract professionals in software and informatics to İzmir and to develop the ecosystem of this sector in the city and ensure its clustering, Dr. Faruk Güler said, “We want to make the tower of Fair İzmir the center of software developers in İzmir. As YABİSAK, we took the first step by renting the first floor of the tower. The infrastructure in İzmir is very suitable for the clustering of the software and informatics sector here. Izmir itself is a center of attraction for people who want to work in this sector. We will also carry out a study that will organize the whole process for the development of the sector and ensure clustering," he said.

EGİAD Alp Avni Yelkenbiçer, Chairman of the Board of Directors, stated that the software industry, which has rapidly transitioned from a subcontractor service model to a scalable product model with the effect of digital products, digital transformation and cloud computing, has attracted the attention of investors and has received 1.5 trillion dollars of risk and venture capital investment. We have a growing entrepreneurship ecosystem with ongoing technopolis investments, R&D, innovation incentives and private sector start-up collaborations. However, according to the latest data, only 5% of our exports come from the software industry, which is reported as a subset of the IT industry. When we examine similar countries, we observe that there is a potential of 2-3 percent.”

YABİSAK Coordinator Serap Sönmez stated that the Association, which completed its official establishment in January 2021, convened the General Assembly in October to further develop the cooperation environment in the sector, to create opportunities in the field of education and employment, to play a role in facilitating the access of its members to finance and to increase the activities to improve the infrastructure of the city for investors. He said he will continue.

CVs to Examine Artificial Intelligence Robots

After the opening speeches, the speakers in the seminar titled 'The Pole Star in the Digital Transformation of Companies: Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality'; They talked about the developments in artificial intelligence and augmented reality and how these technologies will transform in the future.

Yumus Emre Aslan, General Manager of Omegadata Software, stated that finance, production, IT, telecom, health and pharmaceutical sectors are the sectors that use artificial intelligence the most in their business processes, and emphasized that this technology is frequently used in human resources applications of companies. Aslan said, “The use of artificial intelligence in the field of human resources is first used in the automatic review of CVs in recruitment. Artificial intelligence examines the use of the written language in the CV and the compliance of its content with the company's application requirements. The artificial intelligence robot also examines whether the data of the CV owner publicly disclosed with LinkedIn corresponds to the data reflected in the CV. Noting that chatbots have also become very common in recruitment, Aslan continued his words as follows: “Because chatbots increase the speed in interviews, they have started to be preferred by companies. The Tengai robot developed in Switzerland is used in interviews and in the future more people will have to interview Tengai when applying for a job. In video interviews, artificial intelligence interprets the digital signals it extracts from gestures and facial expressions. The fact that the job applicant looks away when asked a question turns into a digital signal for artificial intelligence. International hotel chain Hilton is the company that has increased the use of artificial intelligence in recruitment the most. With the use of artificial intelligence, Hilton achieved an 85% productivity increase in business purchases. With its artificial intelligence program called Mya, Loreal achieved 10 percent efficiency in interviews with more than 92 thousand people. In Turkey, 64 percent of companies have never heard of or do not use artificial intelligence in their HR applications. Therefore, a tremendous development area is foreseen in this area.”

Turkey will give the first signal in 5G in 2023

ESBAŞ Information Systems and Technologies Manager Ali Umut Yüksel reminded the Presidential Communications Presidency's statement that Turkey will give the first signal in 5G in 2023 and emphasized that the use of technology in daily life will accelerate with 5G. Emphasizing that in the Society 5.0 era, when objects communicate with each other, technology started to make incredible advances in all areas of life, Ali Umut Yüksel said, “It is a fact that IT support is behind the modeling of prostheses in medicine, the modeling of the spread of covid, and the rapid emergence of the vaccine. In order to increase the quality of life of disabled and elderly people, more robots will be produced to meet the cognitive and physical needs of people. We are entering a period where cars communicate with traffic lights and notify each other of empty parking spaces. Blockchan is a security mechanism and we are going to a period where no security element that is not written through this mechanism will be preferred.” Yüksel emphasized that as the number of technological devices used over the internet increases, the capacity of computer processors begins to fall short and that this bottleneck will be solved with quantum computers.

VR Glasses Will Provide the Opportunity to Meet with Dead People in Virtual Environment

Yüksel stated that in the future applications of virtual reality technology, which is another technological development area, people will experience the feeling of meeting in a virtual reality environment by watching 3D images of their dead relatives through VR glasses. RGBKOD Augmented and Virtual Reality Technologies Chairman of the Board Hasan Burak Alimoğlu, on the other hand, said that with virtual reality and augmented reality technologies, shopping from virtual stores to be carried to homes will increase, that all details of the clothes, shoes or accessories viewed in the store over the phone, from packaging to the product, can be examined in 3D and that the person can be examined in 3D. He stated that he can order the product he likes instantly by trying it in XNUMXD again.
