33 percent of the "Science Center and Planetarium" construction, which will be brought by the Metropolitan Municipality to Samsun and which will be the first in the Black Sea, has been completed. Stating that they have implemented projects that will carry Samsun to the future in every field, President Demir said, "We will set an example in science and technology with the center to be established."

The construction of the Black Sea's first Science Center and Planetarium, which was implemented with the protocol signed between the Metropolitan Municipality and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK), in the Samsun-Ordu Highway Gelemen location, continues at full speed. Within the scope of the works with a physical progress of 33 percent, steel construction construction and roof gutter manufacturing were completed.

Black Sea's first and only science center

Stating that everyone from 7 to 70 will be interested in the 'Science Center and Planetarium', which will be the first in the Black Sea region, Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir said, “This science center will open a different horizon and form a basis for our youth, children and everyone living in Samsun. . Construction is progressing rapidly. 33 percent complete. Our Science Center and Planetarium will be the latest system and the best in Turkey. Collaborating with TÜBİTAK is very important. TÜBİTAK is an institution that gives confidence and gains appreciation with its scientific studies. Hopefully, this science center will open a good horizon in Samsun in the same direction and I have no doubt that it will contribute to our future.”

Samsun is moving to the future in every field

Stating that they have implemented projects that will carry Samsun to the future in every field, President Demir said, “Now our country will not use technology, but will produce and design technology, and will do this not only with known technologies, but also with innovative, that is, science-based technologies. Our most important asset is our people. Science Centers are important in increasing their competencies in this regard and in training them based on science and technology. For this purpose, this project will carry our city to the future in terms of science. Samsun will set an example with the center to be established in science and technology as in every field. When it is finished, we will have brought a very beautiful work to our city, which will be located on the main arterial road of the Black Sea. There will be every opportunity for our young people to get to know themselves, realize their dreams, design and produce. Everyone from 7 to 70 will be interested.”
