Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is implementing a series of measures within the scope of "winter traffic order" before the schools will open on Monday, September 6th. In addition to ongoing and newly launched applications and services, the number of vehicles and the frequency of departures will be greatly increased in all elements of public transportation. In addition, with the decision of UKOME, for the first time this year, students and teachers will be able to benefit from public transportation for 5 cents, only for the first week. The application will be valid for the first 25 kilometers in İZBAN, which is operated by TCDD-Metropolitan partnership. After that, pricing will be made on the current tariff. Likewise, on the lines where the Pay As You Go tariff is applied, students and teachers will be able to board for 10 cents for the first 5 kilometers. With the opening of schools, bus, metro and tram lines will be strengthened with additional services. During peak hours, metro services will be made every 3 minutes. Faulty parking will be prevented

Loading and unloading activities, which can cause traffic congestion, will also be examined. In accordance with the UKOME decision; These activities will not be allowed between 06.00-10.00 and 16.00-19.00 on the streets and boulevards where transportation is intense.

An additional lane application will continue in Altınyol, which was built with the coordination of the Provincial Police Department.
